Adding and Amending Addresses

Institution members who have registered membership accounts can use the IET website to update their contact information. Users with non-members accounts are also able to add contact information; doing so is helpful for site functions such as the online shop and feedback or survey forms.

Adding a home address:

To add a home address, log in and select "My contact details" from My IET, then click on the corresponding edit button. The procedure is the same for editing an existing address. If you are an Institution member and have registered a member account, changes made to your address on the website will be reflected in your membership record.

Adding a work address:

To add a work address, log in and select "My contact details" from My IET. You must search to see if your employer's address already exists before having the option to create a new address. The address you create will be added to our database and will be included in other users' employer address searches, so please ensure that it is correct.

Amending an employers address:

It is not possible to amend or update an existing employer's address via the IET website.

Changing an email address:

To change an email address of an account if you do not have an Institution email alias, log in and select "My contact details" from My IET, then click on the corresponding edit button. If you do have an Institution email alias, this cannot be removed from your profile. You can modify the address it forwards to from the contact details page.
