About the Cyprus network

The IEE Cyprus Branch was founded in 1984. After 22 years of successful operation, the Branch was renamed as the IET Cyprus Network. The Network numbers more than 500 members. It is a very active Network and it offers the best quality service to the engineering and scientific society of Cyprus.

The Network committee organizes lectures, technical visits and professional development programs according to the needs of the Cypriot engineer. The goal of the local committee is to organize events that cover the areas of Energy, Power, Communications, Health and Safety, and some other areas common interest.

The IET Cyprus Network participates in the organization of the Medpower Conference that is held every two years. It is a joint activity of the IET Networks of Cyprus, Greece and Israel.

Chairman of the Cyprus Network is Mr. Nicos Kouyialis since 2006. He has focused his efforts on three elements:
1. Offer high quality service to the members.
2. Establish an active Younger Members Section.
3. Organize events outside Nicosia (Paphos and Protaras) to service members that live far from the Centre.
