IET Local Networks are managed by groups of volunteers. Networks organise events to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in their local area and promote membership of the IET. All Network events are open to the public and most are free of charge.
The Scotland North Committee organise events in Aberdeen, Dundee, Elgin, Inverness, Perth, Thurso, Orkney, Shetland, Stornoway, Fort William and (soon) in St Andrews. These events cover a range of engineering, management and general interest.
Present Around the World Competition
The aim of the competition is to develop and improve the presenting skills of Young Professionals and Engineering students globally. The competition is as simple as re-using one’s final year project presentation; that’s it! This represents your opportunity to win some hard cash courtesy of the IET.
